A New Set of Services for Establishing Companies Launched via the Single-Window Platform

The Ministries of Commerce and Industry, Labour, Justice, and Interior have jointly announced the launch of a comprehensive range of services that expand the capabilities of the single-window system, simplifying the process of company registration. These services will come into effect on June 18, 2023.

The introduction of these services will provide investors with direct access to digitized services, eliminating the need to visit ministry websites or physical offices to complete necessary procedures.

The new services focus on enhancing the issuance of commercial registrations by streamlining requirements and automating internal processes and reviews with relevant government entities.

Additionally, the updated single-window service now automatically includes the Computer Card in the commercial registration process. Labour approvals will also be issued in coordination with the Ministry of Labour for every new commercial registration.

In collaboration between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Metrash 2 Application has been updated to display automated work permit approvals and electronic copies of the computer card.

Furthermore, business owners can now open bank accounts once they have completed the commercial registration and signed the article of association, provided they meet the regulatory requirements of the respective banks.

These improvements significantly reduce the number of steps involved in conducting business, incorporating best practices designed in cooperation with the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CGB). As a result, businesses can now obtain their commercial registration and commence operations within a single day.

These new services primarily benefit newly established companies by simplifying the establishment process and assisting in attracting the necessary skilled workforce, including the issuance of required labor visas.

Through the enhanced single-window platform, start-ups have the advantage of obtaining immediate work permit approvals during the establishment phase. Additionally, the single window allows investors to select the nationalities of the workers they recruit.
